Crows Respect is a tribute project which was first compiled and published by Akita Shoten in June 2016. It's been 25 years since the start of "Crows", a seminal work in the delinquent manga genre! It is consisted of collection of 8 stories written by various authors as a tribute to Crows.
In June 2018, it was revealed that there will be another batch of tribute project [1].
The First Project (2016)[]
Chapter 1: Setoutsumi Gaiden[]
Setoutsumi Gaiden is a tribute project and a cross-over with Konomoto Kazuya's manga, Setoutsumi. This chapter revolves around two characters: Utsumi, a bespectacled individual who has a keen interest in the Crows/Worst series, and his friend Seto, who sports spiky hair and is a devoted fan of the series.
Utsumi and Seto, fueled by their passion for the Crows/Worst series, decide to recreate one of its most iconic scenes. They emulate the moment where King Joe engages in a conversation with Hideyuki Bitou about his boredom resulting from the prevailing peace in the town of Toarushi.
Chapter 2: Graffiti[]
Graffiti is a tribute project written by Fujiwara Satoshi . The chapter centers around two senior students named Kirino Hayato and Kaneko Housei, who have spent three years at Suzuran without engaging in any fights.
Feeling weary of their passive roles and desiring to leave a lasting mark on the school, Kirino and Kaneko make a bold decision. They decide to express their presence and assert their individuality by writing their names on the walls of the rooftop at Suzuran.
Chapter 3: Crows vs Hakaiju[]
Crows vs. Hakaiju is a tribute project and a cross-over with Honda Shingo's manga, Hakaiju. This chapter begins with the sudden appearance of a hideous monster in Suzuran. The monster rampages through various parts of the school building, including the rooftop, only to discover that they are all empty.
However, when the monster reaches the school's gym, it is taken aback by a surprising sight. The gym is filled with Suzuran's delinquents, all of whom are bloodied and bruised from intense fighting. The monster is shocked to witness the aftermath of their battles.
As the delinquents become aware of the monster's presence, they cast menacing glares at it, displaying their resilience and fearless nature. The monster, intimidated by their collective aura, quickly retreats from the scene.
Chapter 4: Crows Ladies[]
Crows Ladies is a spin-off of Crows, written by Suzuki Dai. This chapter takes a unique approach by genderbending some of the most iconic moments from the original "Crows" series.
Chapter 5: Housen's Iron Law[]
Housen's Iron Law is a tribute project written by Hirakawa Tetsuhiro. The chapter centers around Fukumaru Kazumasa, a formidable fighter who remained undefeated in his hometown before enrolling at Housen.
However, upon encountering the powerful Hideyuki Bitou, Fukumaru suffers a devastating defeat. As a result, he is forced to shave his beloved hair, an act that symbolizes his loss of confidence and fighting spirit. Fukumaru's defeat deeply impacts him, leaving him in a vulnerable state. What would happen if one of his juniors know he was defeated?
Chapter 6: Sei & Seiya vs Suzuran![]
Sei & Seiya vs Suzuran! is a tribute project written by Kuwahara Shinya. The chapter begins by introducing Ueda Yumenosuke, an ordinary yet passionate delinquent, and his partner, Hanegi Kyoushirou.
The story unfolds as Ueda and Hanegi engage in a confrontation with a group of troublemaking punks who were disrespecting the Freshmen War at Suzuran. However, their encounter takes an unexpected turn when they are suddenly struck by a car driven by Murasame Arneis, Nagarei Sei, and Hibashiri Ren.
Sei, feeling remorseful for the accident, apologizes to Ueda by offering him a can of coffee, but not without taking a roundhouse kick from Arneis. As the events progress, several remnants of the Jet Black Scorpion, a notorious faction, emerge and target Arneis. This leads to a fierce brawl between Ueda, Hanegi, Sei, Ren, and the Scorpions.
Chapter 7: Fake Fur[]
Fake Fur is a tribute project written by Ooishi Hiroto. The chapter delves into the life of Fujimi Haiji, who deeply admires Bouya Harumichi so much as that he even wore the same jacket like Bouya.
However, no one knows that behind his strong look, he was in fact a coward who didnt even have any courage to talk to Bouya and never went to Suzuran. The story takes an intriguing turn when Shunya, the top host of a rival club, uncovers Haiji's secret and exposes it to others. This revelation puts Haiji's reputation at stake, as his façade of strength is shattered, revealing his true character as a coward who has been pretending to be someone he is not.
What would happen to his reputation after his secret has been revealed?
Chapter 8: Crows St. Emperor[]
Crows St. Emperor is a tribute project written by Yukito Imouto. The chapter revolves around a blonde transferred student who single-handedly defeated Kawasaki Faction and Housen's freshmen. Who could it be?
The Second Project (2018)[]
Chapter 1: Warning: This Man is Followed by A Psycho[]
Warning: This Man is Followed by A Psycho is a tribute project and a cross-over with Honda Shingo's manga, Saiko . The chapter will center on a certain male delinquent who uses the SAiKO app.
Chapter 2: Crying Skull[]
Crying Skull is a tribute project written by Hirakawa Tetsuhiro. The chapter explores the story of Ojiri Kenta, a middle school student who idolizes the TFOA. The chapter revolves around the challenges and conflicts that arise when Kenta is compelled to confront delinquents from Suzuran for the sake of his friend.
Driven by his admiration for TFOA, Kenta finds himself entangled in a situation where he must engage in a fight with Suzuran delinquents. This decision is motivated by his desire to protect and support his friend, leading him to face off against formidable opponents from Suzuran.
Chapter 3: Crows' Droppings[]
Crows' Droppings is a tribute project written by Ozawa Toshio.
The chapter centers around Maruta, a character with an unlikely presence in the delinquent world of Suzuran. Maruta, who identifies as a weak otaku, finds himself in a predicament where he is continuously exploited and made to run errands for the more dominant delinquents.
Despite his interests and disposition, Maruta is forced to fulfill various tasks and bear the financial burden associated with them. The costs accumulate to the point where he is unable to attend a highly anticipated voice actress event, highlighting the sacrifices he has made due to his entanglement with the delinquent lifestyle.
Chapter 4: Azazu[]
Azazu is a tribute project written by Fujiwara Satoshi.
The story revolves around two individuals, one calm and the other quiet, who find themselves in the same class during their freshman year. Coincidentally, a freshman in their class emerges as a strong contender for the highest position at Suzuran High School, aiming to usurp the reigning top spot. Through his determination and skill, he successfully achieves this feat, becoming the new leader of Suzuran.
Impressed by his strength and charisma, the two individuals are persuaded to join the freshman's group. This decision marks the beginning of their journey as they align themselves with the new leader and become part of his circle
Chapter 5: Hokuto no Ken: Ichigo Aji x Crows II[]
Hokuto no Ken: Ichigo Aji x Crows II, is a crossover of Crows and Hokuto no Ken: Ichigo Aji and a tribute project written by Yūshi Kawata and Yukito Imōto.
In the manga, Holy Emperor Souther transfers into Housen Academy, and other characters from Hokuto no Ken: Ichigo Aji also appear. [2]
Chapter 6: Crows Rock n' Roll[]
Crows Rock n' Roll is a tribute project written by Yukai Asada.
The story focuses on a freshman at Suzuran who receives the old guitar of Bandou Hideto, a renowned figure in the school's delinquent history. Inspired by this connection and driven by a desire to make a mark at Suzuran, the freshman promises with his friends that they will take over the school.
However, despite their shared goal, the protagonist harbors a secret. He never truly enjoyed fighting and now finds himself burdened by the weight of this promise. He worries that his reluctance to engage in conflicts may strain his relationship with his friends, who are likely more committed to the delinquent lifestyle.
Chapter 7: Ame Nochi Hare[]

The story revolves around a freshman at Tsukamoto High who possesses a peculiar habit of carrying an umbrella with him at all times. This distinctive characteristic sets him apart from his peers and draws attention from those around him.
Chapter 8: Crows Eraser[]
Crows Eraser is a tribute project.
The story revolves around a delinquent student at Suzuran who harbors a mischievous desire to successfully execute a prank on a specific teacher. Specifically, the delinquent wishes to drop the blackboard eraser on the teacher as they enter the classroom, a classic prank that has proven elusive for him so far.
Despite his best efforts, the delinquent repeatedly fails in his attempts to carry out the chalkboard prank. Frustrated by his continuous failures, he becomes determined to find a way to accomplish his goal. In this endeavor, a classmate comes to his aid, suggesting a trick that may just lead to a successful prank.
