Furukawa Osamu, also known as Bulldog, is a delinquent from Takiya Commerce and the founder of The Kurotaki Alliance. He was part of The Four Kings in his generation, a group of individuals who are known for being the strongest fighters in town. Bulldog formed a deep bond of friendship with Harumichi Bouya, and they became blood brothers through their shared unfortunate experiences with girls.

Personality

Bulldog was renowned for his charismatic leadership, capable of uniting students from multiple schools under the banner of The Kurotaki Alliance solely through his personality. His ability to draw people toward him was considered somewhat mysterious, as described by Maruken [1]. Even his successor, Nakajima, could not quite explain what it was about Bulldog that made him believe he would lose to his boss before witnessing his true strength. Bulldog's humble nature led him to admit that people had it wrong when they grouped the Four Kings together as the strongest men in town, when in truth even Ryuushin and Bitou knew that the strongest man in Toarushi was Harumichi Bouya.

Plot

Takiya Commerce

During his time at Takiya Commerce, Bulldog had a life-changing encounter with Harumichi Bouya. They both pursued the same girl but were rejected. This shared experience led them to become blood brothers and best friends [2]. Bulldog initially faced a challenge from Maruken and Kakuken from Kurosaki Industrial, his rival school [3]. Bouya intervened and, with a single punch , defeated Bulldog's opponents [4], revealing himself as the top fighter from Suzuran [5].

Following this fight, Bulldog realized the potential of strong fighters in different schools coming together. He proposed the idea of an alliance, which later became known as The Kurotaki Alliance. Their first target was the Extreme Dragon Syndicate [6], and despite initial misunderstandings and conflicts [7], they successfully took down the syndicate, reforming the alliance [8].

The Kurotaki Alliance faced further challenges, including battles against The Tsukamoto-Nanamori Alliance. They wanted a one-on-one fight and the loser would have to join under the winner. Bulldog fought against Ishii Tsuyoshi and won [9].

Post-Graduation

After graduating from high school, Bulldog chose to join his father's company, Furukawa Ironworks. Over the years, he gained experience and took over as the head of the company when his father retired. With his physical strength and cheerful personality, Bulldog successfully led the company to prosperity.

Fights

Bulldog earned a reputation as the strongest fighter ever to emerge from Takiya Commerce. Delinquents throughout Toarushi respected his strength, including Bouya, who believed that if Bulldog were to get serious, even he might struggle to defeat him.

In addition to his formidable strength, Osamu displayed remarkable toughness in battle. He often achieved victory when it appeared that he was on the verge of defeat, enduring numerous blows from his opponents. His greatest display of endurance was surviving a collision with a semi-truck during his second year [10]. Unfortunately, this incident resulted in him losing hearing in his left ear [11]. Despite this setback, Bulldog's fighting spirit and resilience remained unquestionable.
